Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim is to present fire prevention in buildings and construction. Students, after successful completion of this course, have a basic overview and knowledge in the field of fire protection of buildings, fire resistance of building structures, dividing the building into fire compartments, distances, escape routes, fire safety equipment, etc. They know the principles of work and they are able to suggest measures for providing fire protection at construction sites.
Syllabus
  • 1 and 2) Fire safety design of the building. The application and extent of fire safety design of the building in various stages of project documentation as defined in the Building Code and the Fire Protection Act. 3 and 4) The interpretation of the CSN 73 0802 fire safety of buildings - non-manufacturing buildings. Clarification of terms, explanations of basic calculations and procedures. 5 and 6) The interpretation of the CSN 73 0804 fire safety of buildings - industrial facilities. Clarification of terms, explanation of basic calculations. 7 and 8) specific objects - objects of medical equipment, objects to gather more people, storage buildings, agricultural buildings, educational facilities, buildings for housing and accommodation, buildings designed according to CSN 65 0201 - interpretation of basic concepts, interpretation of these links to specific objects CSN 73 0802 and CSN 73 0804th 9 and 10) The notion of "State fire supervision." Clarification of the power of the state fire supervision is implemented. 11 and 12) Documentation of fire protection for legal persons and entrepreneurs. 13) Determination of the causes of fire power as the state fire supervision - reasons, procedures.
