The aim is to deepen the knowledge of corporate risks and their elimination. It also evaluates the emergence of enterprise crises with respect to its life cycle and subsequently with respect to the development of the national economy.
Výstupy z učení
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
knows the essence of crisis management,
knows how to define a crisis situation in a company,
can analyze internal and external crisis factors,
understands the function of crisis management in an enterprise,
analyses crisis risks in the enterprise,
knows the principles of crisis planning,
knows how to prepare a crisis plan for an enterprise,
knows the functions of a crisis manager,
understands the strategy of a crisis manager,
knows the ethical principles of conduct and behaviour in crisis situations,
learn the general principles of crisis communication,
knows the principles of signalling, prediction and monitoring of risks,
knows the basic legislation in the field of crisis management in the Czech Republic,
knows how to prepare a crisis scenario for a company,
know how to prepare a crisis plan for a company,
can prepare a set of measures to eliminate risks in the company.

  • Lectures:
  • 1. Historical context and present of crisis management (risk management).
  • 2. Crisis state and its development within the company life cycle.
  • 3. Enterprise as an open system, internal and external causes of enterprise crises, emergencies, catastrophic states, their probability and frequency.
  • 4. Crisis management in the enterprise, its role and crisis management activities, crisis management.
  • 5. Analysis of enterprise risks, probability of their occurrence, significance in terms of the impact of risks on the results of the enterprise, human factor failure, systemic risk, risk of external events.
  • 6. Crisis planning in the enterprise, importance and role of crisis planning in the enterprise, strategic and crisis planning, stages of crisis planning, crisis scenario.
  • 7. Crisis plan, its structure, objectives and content, procedure of elaboration, implementation, partial crisis plans.
  • 8. Crisis manager, innate and acquired qualities, preparation for dealing with a crisis situation, roles and tasks of the crisis manager in the crisis staff.
  • 9. Crisis management strategy in the company (SKM), specific activities, specific measures (elimination of crisis outbreak, crisis averting, crisis management), SKM as a part of the overall strategy, Pareto diagram and ABC method.

  • 5. Development of risk analysis in the VŠTE facility according to the model methodological procedure.

  • 8. Preparation of the manager to deal with a crisis situation.
  • 9. Use of Pareto diagram in the work of crisis management.

In order to successfully complete the subject, it is necessary to achieve a total of at least 70 % in the interim and final assessment under the conditions set out below. 30 points, i.e. 30%, can be obtained in the continuous assessment. A total of 70 points, i.e. 70%, can be obtained in the final assessment. Overall classification of the subject, i.e. points for final assessment (70 - 0) + points from ~interim assessment (30 - 0): A 100 – 90, B 89.99 – 84, C 83.99 – 77, D 76.99 – 73, E 72.99 – 70, FX 69.99 – 30, F 29.99 – 0.
Informace učitele
A full-time student is obliged to meet the mandatory 70% attendance at contact classes, i.e. everything except lectures. If attendance is not met, the student will automatically be graded "-".
