Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the role and importance of people in the work process. It introduces key terms and concepts in organizational behavior and human resource management. Students will acquire knowledge and skills related to personnel management, recruitment, and people development. The course also highlights the application of personnel security in business and management practice.
Learning outcomes

Successful graduates of the course:
- understand the role and responsibilities of human resource management within an organization,
- possess managerial competencies in human resource management, including knowledge of the labor law framework,
- are able to manage personnel costs and apply personnel controlling methods,
- understand the principles of organizational design and are able to develop a personnel strategy and plan for the organization,
- are capable of defining job positions and managing recruitment and onboarding processes,
- understand the prerequisites for task assignment, delegation, and control,
- are able to design systems for employee performance management and evaluation,
- understand the principles of employee motivation and remuneration,
- are able to establish a remuneration system, including fixed and performance-based components as well as employee benefits,
- understand the requirements for employee training, further education, and development, and are able to plan, implement, and evaluate corporate training,
- understand the importance and tools of organizational communication, are able to resolve and prevent conflicts,
- understand the nature, significance, and instruments of developing organizational culture.

Exam conditions
Active participation in exercises - partial tasks: 30 %. Written test - a set of questions focused on the entire content of the course: 70 %. Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points (70 %): A 100 – 90, B 89,99 – 84, C 83,99 – 77, D 76,99 – 73, E 72,99 – 70, FX 69,99 – 30, F 29,99 - 0.

Teacher's information
Attendance at classes in all forms solves a separate internal standard of VŠTE (Records of student attendance at VŠTE). For full-time students, 70% attendance at seminars is mandatory. Attendance at lectures is monitored for full-time studies. Students with an individual study plan will be evaluated only through a 100-point final test in the examination period.
