- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim is to acquaint students with the implementation of the most common tests in mechanical engineering, namely tests of the properties of materials and final products. An integral part of the course are the general basics of metrology, issues of occupational safety, statistical processing of measured data and the basic principles in the field of management and certification of product quality. Practical exercises lead students to the application of knowledge from other study subjects, teach them to assess compliance with the specified design requirements or physical parameters and get a better idea of the meaning and significance of these data. Students practice logical reasoning, learn factual argumentation, precision and consistency. The course enables students to understand that technical measurements are an irreplaceable means in the field of development, design, construction, production, technical control and own use of products.
- Learning outcomes
- Student will be able to:
- perform tests of the technological and mechanical properties of materials
- evaluate the macro and microstructure of materials
- prepare a sample for further testing
- measure physical quantities - Syllabus
