Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with designing elements of wooden constructions according to European technical standards. Graduates will be able to design wooden structures including their static assessment.
Learning outcomes
After successful completion of the course the student knows the principles of the design of wooden constructions, he can design and evaluate the elements of the basic types of stress (tension, pressure, bending and skidding), including their combination. It is able to determine element strain, knows other aspects of usability of construction and principle of connecting elements, including calculation models, and is able to design the basic types of joints of wooden and steel structures.
