- The objective of the course is to achieve the level A2+ - B1- according to CEFR. Students are able to read short text, make short notes and create a simple personal email or letter; they are able to provide and require personal information, fill in a questionnaire, talk about their plans and tell/write a short story.

- After successful completion of the course, students are able to:
1. understand a short simple text containing information about everyday life of people;
2. understand the most important information in short and clear
3. agree with other people on meetings, plan activities;
4. describe the basic aspects of their everyday life or life of other people

Final Test 70 % (0 – 70 points) and semester exam 30% (0-30). The final test requires the B1- level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. To successfully pass the course, students have to get totally at least 70 points (from both parts of tests).

- Teacher's information
- Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except for the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % of lessons in a semester.
Students will pass the semestral exam before the end of the instruction, Final test is written in a paper or electronic form using computers.
Students with an individual study plan (ISP) must notify the teacher of this fact no later than the second week of the semester. Students with ISPs must complete an interim and final assessment. The mid-term evaluation will take place on a date agreed with the group teacher. The date must be agreed with the teacher no later than two weeks before the end of the teaching period.
