Basic terminological knowledge from the field of transport and logistics is the prerequisite for enrollment of the course.

Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the nature and solution of logistic problems of cities in different concepts of partial solutions to complex approach. Become familiar with the classic concept of city logistics solutions as flows of goods and other materials to the centers of large cities, widespread concept involving all relevant components of transport in the whole agglomeration, the issue of freight and public transport, including its integration as an important part of urban logistics and related logistics and environmental environment. Graduates will be able to identify strengths and weaknesses in transport in towns and cities, can solve the task scheduling and optimization of transport and traffic flows in cities. Able to define and describe the properties of both passenger and freight transport, environment and transport technology, is able to define the basic parameters of a comprehensive solution to the issue.
Learning outcomes
The graduate of the course is able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of transport in urban areas and agglomerations, can solve tasks of planning and optimizing transportation and traffic flows in agglomerations and can work with a specific SW dealing with modeling the city's transport system. He is able to define and describe the properties of passenger and freight transport, means of transport and technology, can define the basic parameters of a complex solution of the given issue. He can also propose appropriate regulatory and rationalization measures in the context of ensuring comprehensive transport services within the city.

Exam conditions
Grading of the course: Delivery and presentation of the semester work + comprehensive assessment of the students activities: maximum 30% (0-30 points), Final Test: maximum 70% (0-70 points). Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points: A 100 – 90, B 89,99 – 84, C 83,99 – 77, D 76,99 – 73, E 72,99 – 70, FX 69,99 – 30, F 29,99 - 0.

Basic terminological knowledge from the field of transport and logistics is the prerequisite for enrollment of the course. During individual seminars, students solve the task regarding the planning and optimization of transport and logistics and transport flows in cities and urban areas, and for these matters, it is necessary to utilize IT equipment in the VŠTE classrooms.

Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except of the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subjet in a semester.
