Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The course will provide an overview of the fundamental issues of pedagogy. In the early part of the course , students learn and understand the basics of pedagogy and gradually moving on to issues related to daily practice and school life , such as educational communication . Attention will be paid to the school management and the main stakeholders of education, ie teachers and students. Students show a basic knowledge of pedagogy, can enumerate and describe its basic themes and define pedagogical skills . Can identify and compartmentalize information resources of education and training ; clarify the nature and rules of educational communication and apply them to their own work. Last but not least are able to explain the principles of the current educational reform in the context of their specific fields.
Syllabus
1. Education , its definition , subject, objectives and methods. 2. Basic concepts and categories of general didactics and pedagogy (education , education , education , educational processes) . 3. Education , the concept of education. 4. A brief overview of the history of Modern Education (J. Lock, JJ R.sseau , JH Pestalozzi , JF Herbart , LN Tolstoy, and others). 5. Alternative Education. 6. The current education system in the Czech Republic ( school types , structure) ; transformation of the Czech education system. 7. The teacher's role in the educational process management . 8. The pupil as a subject of education . 9. Teaching communication and interaction . Principles of communication in the school and its impact on the course of instruction. 10. Key skills in teaching and training. 11. Taxonomy learning tasks based on intellectual operations. 12. Development activities and creativity. 13. Curriculum and its variability .
