Course objectives supported by learning outcomes

Student will gain the basic overview of the structure and basic properties of building materials and their use as building materials.

Syllabus

• Topics: Introduction, Physical Quantities and Units, Element as the Basic Building Unit, Binders, Malta, Concrete, Stone, Ceramics, Wood, Glass, Metals, Asphalt, Plastics, Durability and Stability of Construction Materials

Exam conditions

completing of laboratory works, a written test, a written exam. The student receives 3 questions to answer. If s/he answer correctly more than 50%, s/he will defend his/her answers in oral exam. It it posible to receive supplementary questions
