Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The subject's objective is to encourage the students to assess the function of panel systems, and to be able to assess and identify panel defects, and their consequence for the static function, as well as to assess the change of the fire hazardous rooms of panel houses in relation to current fire safety regulations. Futhermore, to encourage the students to desing the individual draft solutions of the identified defects , and to restore the original static function with the safe use of the panel building.
Syllabus
  • Construction characteristics of panel systems. Alteration of fire safety requirements - the stopping of the flame spreading through the installation shaft on the house front area. Defects and reconstructions of flat roofs. Defects and rehabilitations of panel contacts, corrosion influence on faults. Interventions in the constructions of inside walls. The influence of insulation of the perimeter housing with the heating system on the inner climate. Ceiling defects, floor construction defects. Reconstruction of bathroom units. Staircase defects, elevator reconstructions, dynamics influence on the constructions. Reconstruction and rehabilitation of perimeter housings. Building insulation requirements. Reconstruction of bases, base pastes, and technical levels. Assembling, production, and design defects.
