Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the professional practice is the consolidation and application of knowledge from professional subjects and the acquisition of practical habits and skills necessary for the performance of the chosen profession.
Learning outcomes
Student: - understands the principles and principles of strategic management and decision-making,
- understands the principles of strategic situational analysis,
- can apply basic methods for assessing the internal and external corporate environment,
- understands the importance of marketing research in the marketing decision making of a company,
- understands the tools of the marketing mix,
- analyses the basic tools of the marketing mix,
- applies marketing in selected areas,
- can plan, organize and evaluate corporate training, based on knowledge of the prerequisites for effective training,
- manages the recruitment and adaptation process,
- apply in practice appropriate and effective principles of managing and evaluating employee performance and the principles of motivation,
- is able to control personnel costs and understands personnel controlling indicators,
- is familiar with basic accounting regulations (Accounting Act, Decree for Entrepreneurs, Czech Accounting Standards),
- can define basic accounting categories and accounting elements (definition of assets and liabilities, costs and revenues, principle of duplicity and correlation),
- know how to record economic transactions in accounting statements,
- can draw up a balance sheet, profit and loss account including the annex,
- can assess the economic situation of an enterprise from the data obtained in the accounting records,
- can construct and discount the general cash flows associated with the 'useful life' of an asset,
- can work with formulas to calculate present and future values of standard cash flows (perpetuity, increasing perpetuity, annuity),
- explain why the largest net present value rule is better than other decision rules frequently used in practice,
- can define the nature of the various pitfalls to which an investor is exposed when using the internal rate of return rule,
- understands the financial nature of the firm's development projects and their impact on the value of the firm
If the student fails to meet at least 50% of the assessed criteria (learning outcomes) the practice will not be recognised and the guarantor will give the student a failing grade.

Teacher's information
Once the work experience account has acquired the required value, the student is required to deliver the following documents to the hands of the Director of the Office of Study Administration and Lifelong Learning within 30 days:

(a) submission of a completed Final Report on the content of the internship and the competences acquired,

b) the certified work diary (certification means confirmation of the accuracy of the information in the work diary by the signature of the supervisor together with the stamp of the company/institution and the signature of the student),

(c) a confirmed work experience report (confirmation means the completion of the work experience report together with the company/institution stamp and the supervisor's signature),

d) evidence of the student's evaluation of the internship,

e) evidence of the evaluation of the practice by the responsible person (supervisor) - not applicable if the student documents the practice by actively pursuing a trade,

f) completion of the work experience record in IS → Work experience record is completed in IS under Student → During studies → Work experience record),

g) a statement of agreement from the guarantor that all required learning outcomes have been met,

h) successful defence of the Final Report of the Professional Practice course before the committee.

If the student does not acquire the required skills during the internship, the guarantor department, in cooperation with the guarantor of the study programme, will provide additional training on the specific issues that were not sufficiently (or at all) covered during the internship.
