Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The course provides students with the technical means for material handling, loading technology, handling and storage operations as with the selection of appropriate mechanization in all areas of logistics. The student will be: - able to design a system of handling equipments, - determine the parameters of handling equipments, - evaluate the loading operations in distribution logistics.
Learning outcomes
Students completing the course will be able to solve problems in the field of material handling. He will be able to design the manipulation technology, to determine the parameters of the basic handling devices.

1. Introduction to handling equipment 2. Cyclically operating handling equipment 3. Periodically operating handling equipment 4. Continuously operating handling equipment 5. Additional handling equipment 6. Special handling equipment 7. System designing of material handling 8. Warehouses and storage 9. Warehousing 10. Evaluation indicators of loading and warehousing operations 11. Packing technology 12. Loading Technology 13. Locking and fixatives means in freight transport

Grading of the course: First Test/Seminar Work/ … : maximum 30% (0-30 points), Final Test: maximum 70% (0-70 points). Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points: A 100 – 90, B 89,99 – 84, C 83,99 – 77, D 76,99 – 73, E 72,99 – 70, FX 69,99 – 30, F 29,99 - 0.
