Completion of the course Informatics 1z - Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to supplement or acquire knowledge and practical skills in the use of information technologies in the extent corresponding to advanced users with further deepened knowledge in the areas of algorithms and algorithmization of tasks, data processing, programming basics and IS / ICT management. Upon successful completion of this course, the student understands concepts related to database technologies. It can work database applications efficiently using their advanced features including data search tools. They can also algorithmize tasks corresponding to the complexity of their overall knowledge and create simple programs for their solution. The student is also able to orientate in the field of business IS.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of this course, the student understands and is able to explain key concepts related to databases. Can work with databases and can use data search tools. Furthermore, he / she is able to algorithmize tasks not only in the area of informatics corresponding to the complexity of his / her overall knowledge and to write proposed algorithms in the standard form of flowcharts. It also manages the transformation of IT algorithms into executable programs. He also knows the principles of corporate IS / ICT systems administration. He / she can use his / her abilities in further studies as well as in practice.
- Syllabus
- 1-2. Algorithms and data structures - algorithm, process and data structures, flowcharts. 3-5. Fundamentals of algorithmization - algorithmization of tasks, basic algorithmic procedures, means for description of algorithms. 6-8. Fundamentals of programming - program and programming languages, basics of PHP language, basics of Arduino platform programming. 9-10. Working with data - data and databases, relational databases, SQL, data analysis and design 11-12. Other database models, work with MS Access and graphical database. 13.
