Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to acquiant students with the basics of academic work and the use of its principles in the thesis. After passing the subject successfully, students will be able to work out independently a specific topic with the use of their own professional knowledge and skills, specialized literature, internal materials of enterprises and they will also be able to formulate the conclusions of their work and defend it.
Learning outcomes
- independently gain, interpret and handover newest findings of development traffic sector; - independently solve traffic-logistics tasks, including design optimal solution; - effectively apply theoretical knowledge in specific cases of real world issues and apply them on the field of traffic; - look for, sort out and interpret information, including foreign language sources; - independently make decisions and solve professional issues and choosing optimal solution; - have a professional expression in both written and spoken form; - effectively use adequate sources of information; - individually gain more professional knowledge, abilities and eligibility; - process a work within guidelines of critical technical thinking.
Syllabus
  • 1. Project of the master's thesis. Selection of the thesis topic, collection of information. • 2. Work with literature, determination and specification of the aims, work hypothesis, problem-solving - solving methods, application in practice. • 3. Structure of the thesis. Modification of the thesis: page layout, text structuring, charts, images etc. • 4. Bibliographic references and bibliography. • 5. Evaluation of the thesis and its defence. • 6. Presentation of the thesis project at the seminar • 7. - 8. Presentation of the theoretical and methodological part of the thesis at the seminar • 9. - 10. Presentation of the first version of the applied part of the thesis at the seminar

Exam conditions
Submission of the diploma thesis according to the DP schedule of the given semester. In the summer semester 2019 the credits from the subject N_DPL may be awarded only to the students who submitted the diploma thesis in due time according to the Harmonogram of the DP defense. The credit is awarded on the basis of the following conditions: observance of the DP schedule, attendance of the consultant with the DP leader, own elaboration according to the curriculum, positive evaluation by the supervisor and recommendations for defense.
