Prerequisites
FORMA(P)
Students understand the formation of internal forces on the basic types of beams. They are able to determine the stress of sections. They know the science of cement, concrete and reinforcing steel in the range of SHM1.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
The capacity limit for the course is 16 student(s).
Current registration and enrolment status: enrolled: 0/16, only registered: 0/16
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The goal is to acquaint students with the technology of concrete mixture and factors influencing its properties, to explain the technology of concrete structures and reinforcement, quality control and testing methods. In addition, students learn to design simple concrete elements for the basic cases of stress, strain and masonry structures. A student, after successful completion of the course, knows the principles of design of concrete elements (concrete cover, reinforcement of the Earth system) and principles of design according to Eurococod. S/he can design and evaluate the concrete truss structure to the basic types of stress (pressure, bending and shear). S/he is also able to design and evaluate a simple masonry structure. S/he can set the composition of concrete mixture and knows the technological processes of concrete production , s/he is well informed about impurities affect the properties of concrete mixtures S/he acquants with the basic types of failures and their causes. S/he can handle drawing design of the construction shape and a drawing of reinforcement.
