The student has the essential knowledge of English language at the level A1 and is able to perform basic communication skills based on the elementary knowledge of the language. - Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim of AED_3 course is to widen further language skills necessary for the common oral and written communication in the studied language. After the successful completion of the course, the students gain the following language skills:
- understand the common phrases related to the well known topics
- are able to understand the meaning of short and clear texts and announcements
- can read short and simple texts (a personal letter, schedule, etc.)
At the end of the course, the students reach the level A2 of the Common European Framework for Languages within the scale of the topics Unit 1 - 3. The course is enhanced by professional training component in accordance with A1 - A2 of the CEFR in the range of set topics - Economic systems,Comparing of market and planned economy, Marketing, Demand and supply in the market economy, Advertisement, Legal forms of business. The student enhances his/her portfolio of English economic terms. - Syllabus

- Test – final 80 %
Presentation 20 % - Exam conditions
- The final test is to be taken at the end of the semester and the oral presentation is given according to the schedule of individual teacher. The assessment cooresponds to the percentual ratio of assessment methods (oral presentation is a maximum 20 points, the tests is for a maximum of 80 points, the minum score for a pass is 70% which is 70 points from both parts).The students are to fulfil the tasks from the teacher obtained either personally or via the IS.
