Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is also offered to the students of the fields other than those the course is directly associated with.
fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic concepts, tasks and assumptions of Structural Mechanics as a special part of Physics. Students will learn to compose and decompose forces in the plane and space, to handle the concepts of moments, the degrees of freedom structures, to form an idea of the balance laws of bodies and their systems, to show a reaction solution of the internal forces statically in full trusses.
Syllabus
  • Topics: Physical quantities, scalars, vectors, physical size, strength as a vector, bundle of forces in a plane, folding and disassembling forces Torque to a point and axis, static moment of a pair of forces General spatial system of forces, the resulting effect, equilibrium, equivalence Degrees of freedom of a particle, board, body, systems, static certainty Continuous load, lone power, lonely moment and moment load Supporting and a response of a particle, boards and bodies, exceptional cases supporting Load of building structures Lattice design, methods of calculation Simple beam and bracket types of loads, calculation of reaction of the internal forces Pointed beam of the internal forces Kinematic method of calculating the response of complex systems Cross-sectional variables The dynamics of building structures Principles of statically indeterminate structures solutions
