Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The course focuses on improving Ukrainian students' spoken and written language skills through joint analysis of media texts (both written and spoken). During the semester, students will be introduced to the main Czech dialects and, through examples, to Czech culture (primarily literature and film). As an output, students will prepare an independent presentation on a topic of their choice from any cultural area that is close to them or interests them. The emphasis here will be primarily on understanding the source, interpretive procedures, critical thinking, and training in correct pronunciation.
Learning outcomes
Student: - consolidates correct Czech pronunciation and techniques for practicing it; - is familiar with key authors and texts of Czech literature; - will be able to confidently navigate written and spoken texts of the appropriate level (B2) and interpret them; - will understand the specifics (and differences) of written expression and prepared spoken expression.
