Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
By completing the course, a student will master solving tasks of Kinematic of point, mathematical modeling of position, velocity and acceleration of a body performing a sliding, rotating, spherical, general plane and general spatial motion, then the student will learn to analyze the mechanisms with constant and variable transfer and use methods of solving kinematics of planetary differentials and transmisions and last but not least, the student will master analytical and graphical methods and numerical methods with computer support.
Learning outcomes
Student is able to:
- work in both basic and transformed coordinate systems, as well as generalized coordinates;
- for individual types of motion of point, body and body systems to describe position, determine degrees of freedom, work with kinematic pairs, binary members, binary groups;
- to solve numerically and graphically mechanisms with a variable ratio;
- solve mechanisms with a constant gear ratio, perform a kinematic solution of planetary gearboxes and differentials;
- apply modern matrix methods in solving problems of analysis and synthesis of mechanisms;
- assemble algorithms for numerical solution of kinematics tasks.
