Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the materials for the preparation and design of transport structures, design principles (road categories, track orders, directional and height layout of the track, geometric parameters and structural layout of the track, structural layers of the railway bottom, design elements, drainage, earth body, parameters airports), technology of construction, maintenance, repair and reconstruction of transport infrastructure.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will gain a general overview of the entire spectrum of the field, ie knowledge of the structural arrangement of roads and railways, their maintenance, financing and related legislative framework, as well as basic knowledge of buildings in air or water transport. After completing the course, the student perceives traffic constructions from the point of view of a technical transport expert, uses professional terminology and knows the basic principles of designing roads, railways, inland waterways and airports. In part, the student is able to design partial sections of linear transport structures and describe them schematically.
