- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the main concepts and principles of work psychology, including work assumptions on the part of employees and the influence of working conditions on its outcome and quality. The main topics of the course include individual performance assumptions of employees, their differences and uses, typology of employees and their assumptions, typology of managerial management styles and their impact on work results, principles of situational management, motivational behavior of leaders, principles of leadership and coaching, the most common psychological barriers to performance. on the part of employees and the organization and prevention of personnel psychological risks in the workplace.

- The graduate:
- understands the main types of performance assumptions of employees, their importance, opportunities for development and practical use, understands the personality traits and attitudes of employees and their relationship to performance,
- understands the individual motivation of employees and its types and understands the motivational tools of the manager, understands the importance of emotional intelligence and its use in work and management,
- understands the differences and importance of management styles and situation management, understands the principles of leadership, knows the principles and tools of coaching,
- can resolve conflicts in the workplace, identify problematic tendencies of employees and managers,
- manages the prevention and solution of undesirable actions of employees, manages the prevention of personnel risks of the organization. - Syllabus
- Lectures 1. Performance assumptions of employees, their types, differences and uses. 2. Abilities and personal effectiveness of employees. 3. Personality traits and attitudes of employees and their relationship to performance. 4. Work motivation and its types, typology of individual motivation of employees. 5. Creativity, its meaning and development. 6. Emotional intelligence and its use in work and management. 7. Psychology of management and leadership of employees. 8. Management styles and their effectiveness.Psychodiagnostics and the use of biometric methods. 9. Motivational tools of the leader. 10. Personal problems of employees and their solutions. 11. Conflicts in the workplace, their causes and solutions, stress in the workplace and its prevention. 12. Prevention and solution of undesirable behavior of employees, mobbing and bullying in the workplace. 13. Problem inclinations of managers, Prevention of personnel risks of the organization. - To successfully complete the course, it is necessary to achieve a minimum of 70% in the continuous and final assessment under the conditions set out below. A total of 30 points, i.e. 30%, can be obtained in the continuous assessment. A total of 70 points, i.e. 70%, can be obtained in the final assessment. The overall classification of the course, i.e., points for the final assessment (70–0) + points from the continuous assessment (30–0): A 100–90, B 89.99–84, C 83.99–77, D 76.99–73, E 72.99–70, FX 69.99–30, F 29.99–0. Full-time students are required to attend 70% of contact teaching, i.e. everything except lectures. If this attendance requirement is not met, the student will automatically be graded with a "-".

- Participation in all forms of teaching is governed by a separate internal VŠTE regulation (Evidence of Student Attendance at VŠTE). Full-time students are required to attend 70% of contact teaching, i.e. everything except lectures. If this attendance requirement is not met, the student will automatically be given a grade of "-". Students with an individual study plan will only take a 100-point final test in the exam period. However, students are required to contact the instructor immediately after the approval of their individual study plan (ISP). If the student fails to do so, their ISP will not be taken into account.
