The aim of the course is to explain the importance of personal efficiency, especially the efficient and effective management of time, both with their own time and with the time of the organization, respectively. co-manager. The main topics of the course include clarification of rules that allow time management to improve, especially the correct setting of work priorities, eliminating the tendency to postpone, increase personal pace, correct scheduling, use of productive time, finding pictures of working hours, etc.

The course is based on the fact that the ability to effectively manage time is not self-evident, but it is one of the most important personal and professional abilities affecting work and personal performance. In addition, many people are unaware of their reduced ability to manage their time effectively: they attribute their shortcomings in work as a result to other reasons. Leaders or even entire organizations are often not fully aware of the lack of time management capabilities leading to reduced productivity.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student:
1. understands the theoretical and practical principles of personal efficiency and time management, its benefits for business practice and individuals, especially managers,
2. understands the internal and external causes of loss of work and personal time,
3. manages the practical principles of time management, contributing to more efficient management of time, both from the position of the employer, manager and from the point of view of one's own personal efficiency,
4. masters the principles of weekly and long-term time planning, is able to face disruptive factors that prevent efficient time management,
5. understands the role of the manager in managing and controlling the use of time of his co-workers, can present, explain and pass on the ability to effectively manage the time of his subordinates, can provide methodological and practical assistance to their co-workers in creating effective mental habits that strengthen their personal effectiveness.

  • Seminars:
  • 1. Personal efficiency as the ability to manage oneself, the importance of personal efficiency in business and managerial practice, personal efficiency as a prerequisite for successful management of one's own time and the time of co-workers.
  • 2. Assumptions and manifestations of personal effectiveness, including effective management of time, creation and change of personal habits, mental techniques facilitating the creation of effective and productive personal habits and efficient management of time.
  • 3. The main methods of increasing personal efficiency and effective management of time, the most common forms and causes of time loss.
  • 4. Importance and methods of setting personal and work priorities, planning of working and personal time, reduction of external disturbing factors and internal tendency to distraction and loss of concentration.
  • 5. Postponement of work tasks and decisions and methods of its elimination.
  • 6. Management of own work pace, control of own emotions, meaning and methods of self-motivation, daily curve of personal performance.
  • 7. Imaging of working time, its meaning and methods.
  • 8. Time management in meeting management.
  • 9. Social and communication habits influencing the efficient management of time and the occurrence of time loss.
  • 10. Causes and prevention of time loss in the organization, work pace of the organization and methods of its increase.
  • 11. Time management and managerial style of the manager, the importance of delegating and passing on productive habits.
  • 12. Life management: work-life balance as a factor of personal productivity.

Exam conditions
To successfully complete the course, it is necessary to achieve a total of 70% of the interim and final evaluation under the conditions set out below. 30 points, ie 30%, can be obtained in the continuous evaluation. Overall classification of the course, ie points for the final evaluation (70 - 0) + points from the continuous evaluation (30 - 0): Z~~ 100 - 70, X 69.99 - 30, N 29.99 - 0.

The full-time student is obliged to meet the mandatory 70% attendance at contact classes, ie everything except lectures. If the participation is not met, the student will be automatically classified "-".

Teacher's information
Attendance at classes in all forms solves a separate internal standard of VŠTE (Records of student attendance at VŠTE). Students with an individual study plan will take only a 100-point final test in the exam period. However, students are obliged to contact the teacher immediately after the approval of the individual study plan (ISP), if the student does not do so, his ISP will not be taken into account.
