Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the legislation related to business in a broader sense, ie with the basic legal institutes of private and public corporate law. Students will get acquainted with corporate law in the context and in relations with other branches of substantive and procedural law. The graduate of the course masters the system of Czech law through the lens of an entrepreneur and is able to apply this knowledge in business-related documentation, including communication with public administration and the judiciary.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student: 1. understands laws, regulations and standards related to company law and understands the legislative and legal framework in the field of business, 2. understands the relations between company law and other branches of law and is familiar with the basics of private business legislation (taxes, company formation), 3. manages to work with information in the field of law (where to find information, which institutions to turn to if necessary), 4. is familiar with the basics of commercial and contractual issues (eg purchase, sale and transfer of real estate), 5. knows the basic mechanisms of judicial decision-making in the field of company law.

Exam conditions
Write a final test for at least 70% of 70 points (35 questions of 2 points each). Continuous evaluation of up to 30 points can be obtained from a continuous test. The maximum number of points from both parts is 100. To successfully complete the course, it is necessary to achieve at least 70 points, ie 70%. Classification scale for the overall evaluation: A 100 - 90, B 89.99 - 84, C 83.99 - 77, D 76.99 - 73, E 72.99 - 70, FX 69.99 - 30, F 29.99 - 0. Legal regulations may be used for the written examination. The overall classification scale of the course (ie points from the continuous test + points from the final exam).

Teacher's information
Attendance at classes in all forms is solved by a separate internal standard of VŠTE (Records of student attendance at VŠTE). Attendance at lectures is not mandatory for full-time students. Students with an individual study plan will perform a 30-point continuous assessment from the subject Business Law and Legislation, which they will pass in an alternative way, and a 70-point final test in the examination period. However, students are obliged to contact the teacher immediately after the approval of the individual study plan (ISP), if the student does not do so, his ISP will not be taken into account.
