Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The graduate of the course is able to: know the basic concepts of operational management; describe the production system, its division and auxiliary and service units; on the basis of knowledge characterize and apply operational planning in the production process and develop a production system project in relation to it.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:
1. understands the theory of operations management: produce on time - minimum cost, capacity utilization - quality and reliability,
2. knows the practices of operations management and its implementation in business processes,
3. understands the transformation of inputs to outputs using transformation tasks,
4. can specify the expected effects of a proposed or implemented IS/ICT solution,
5. can argue and communicate with the specifiers and users of that IS/ICT solution,
6. understands the formulation of the overall operational strategy

Exam conditions
For successful completion of the course it is necessary to achieve a minimum of 70% in the interim and final assessment under the conditions set out below. 30 points can be obtained in the intermediate assessment, i.e. 30%. A total of 70 points, i.e. 70 %, may be obtained in the final assessment. Overall classification of the course, i.e. points for the final assessment (70 - 0) + points from the interim assessment (30 - 0: A 100 - 90, B 89.99 - 84, C 83.99 - 77, D 76.99 - 73, E 72.99 - 70, FX 69.99 - 30, F 29.99 - 0. A minimum of 70% attendance at the lectures is required. In case of an objective obstacle it is possible to apologize to the teacher.

Information for students with an ISP (Individual Study Plan). If a student with an ISP is unable to attend the interim assessment of a course, he/she will complete the interim assessment at a time agreed with the teacher. A student with an Individual Study Plan is required to contact the instructor immediately upon approval of the ISP. If the student fails to do so, his/her ISP will not be considered. If students with an ISP have any questions, they can contact the course advisor via email at gallo@mail.vstecb.cz and talir@mail.vstecb.cz.
