Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the content and methods of risk management and crisis management of the enterprise on the basis of relevant risk analyses, they will learn to analyze external and internal causes of crises, they will learn methods of signaling and prevention of risks arising especially in business processes with the subsequent preparation of risk matrix, risk maps and crisis plan of the enterprise. They will learn the principles, methods and procedures of enterprise management in the individual development phases of an enterprise crisis.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will: 1. can specify and differentiate the issues of enterprise risk management and crisis management of the organization, 2. master the principles of prediction, signalling and prevention of crisis conditions in the company, especially in business processes, 3. can analyse external and internal causes of crises, 4. knows the methods for the preparation of risk matrix, risk maps and crisis plan of the enterprise. 5. learns the principles, methods and procedures of crisis management within the enterprise life cycle.
Syllabus
  • Seminars: 1. Definition, objectives, content and methodology of enterprise risk management. 2. 2. 3. Methods of prediction and signalling of crisis conditions in the enterprise. 4. Methods of corporate crisis prevention. 5. The procedure for evaluating business processes in terms of the possible occurrence of crisis phenomena and situations. 6. Methods for analysing external causes of crisis phenomena and situations in the enterprise. 7. Methods for the analysis of internal causes of crisis phenomena and situations in the enterprise. 8. Procedure for the preparation of the risk matrix. 9. Preparation of risk maps and their interpretation. 10. Procedure for the preparation of the company crisis plan (KPP) - (outline and procedure). 11. Proposal for implementation of the KPP in the enterprise (personnel, organizational, economic and material security). 12. Principles and methods of crisis management of an enterprise within its life cycle. 13. Presentation of students of partial project studies.

Exam conditions
For successful completion of the course it is necessary to achieve a minimum of 70% in the sum of the continuous and final assessment under the conditions set out below. 20 points can be obtained in the continuous assessment, i.e. 20%. A total of 80 points, i.e. 80 %, may be obtained in the final assessment. Overall course classification, i.e. final assessment points (80 - 0) + continuous assessment points (20 - 0): Z~100 - 70, X 69.99 - 30, N 29.99 - 0. A full-time student is required to meet the mandatory 70% attendance in contact classes, i.e. everything except lectures. If attendance is not met, the student will automatically be graded "-".

Teacher's information
Participation in all forms of teaching is dealt with in a separate internal standard of the VŠTE (Recording of student attendance at the VŠTE). For full-time students, 70% attendance is compulsory. Information for students with an ISP (Individual Study Plan). If a student with an ISP is unable to attend the interim assessment of a course, he/she will complete the interim assessment at a time agreed with the teacher. A student with an Individual Study Plan is required to contact the instructor immediately upon approval of the ISP. If the student fails to do so, his/her ISP will not be considered. Students with an ISP may contact the course advisor via email at vachal@mail.vstecb.cz if they have any questions.
