The main purpose of the paper is the structural analysis of the connections network used by a railway carrier Koleje Dolnoślaskie S.A. operating in southern Poland. The analysis used simulation methods. The analysis and simulation are based on graph theory, which is successfully used in analysing a wide variety of networks. The paper presents indicators which allow judging the analysed connections network according to an appropriate level of transport services.

Hlavním účelem příspěvku je strukturální analýza sítě spojů využívaných železničním dopravcem Koleje Dolnoślaskie S.A. působícím v jižním Polsku. V analýze jsou použity simulační metody. Analýza a simulace jsou založeny na teorii grafů, která se úspěšně používá při analýze široké škály sítí. Příspěvek prezentuje indikátory, které umožňují posoudit analyzovanou spojenou síť podle příslušné úrovně dopravních služeb.
