Abstract
This article reviews and advances existing literature concerning the role of digital media platforms in the production and consumption of factually dubious content. Using data from BBC World Service, European Commission, Freedom House, GlobeScan, Pew Research Center, Socialbakers, and Statista, were performed analyses and were made estimates regarding real versus fake news content type distribution on Facebook and prevalence of manipulation tactics on social media in 68 countries.

Tento článek hodnotí a rozšiřuje stávající literaturu o roli digitálních mediálních platforem při výrobě a spotřebě věcně pochybného obsahu. S využitím údajů z BBC World Service, Evropské komise, Freedom House, GlobeScan, Pew Research Center, Socialbakers a Statista byly provedeny analýzy a odhady týkající se distribuce typu skutečného versus falešného obsahu na Facebooku a prevalence manipulační taktiky na sociálních médiích v 68 zemích.
