The current methodology does not reflect some of the specific characters of traffic on urban roads and the unified set of expansion factors to determine the final intensities (and AADT) is used regardless of the specific purposes of individual urban roads. The paper outlines the possibilities for improving the methodology for determining the traffic intensity on these types of urban roads.
