The following paper describes and analyses the mechanism and the concept of the specific overturned polarity in Bernhard’s autobiografical works. It explains its connection with Bernhard’s „Geistesmensch” concept. It gives examples of the overturned polarity in Bernhard’s autobiographical works, their interpretation is based on the “Geistesmensch” principle of world understanding.
