Tento příspěvek komplexně popisuje problematiku údržby místních komunikací. Je zde uvedena definice místních komunikací, důvody pro zabezpečování veřejným sektorem, historický vývoj, současný stav, výdaje na údržbu místních komunikací, formy zabezpečování této služ- by a metody výběru externího dodavatele. V závěru jsou vyvozeny důležité závěry a klíčová doporučení pro zvýšení efektivnosti této veřejné služby.

This paper globally describes the problem of maintenance of local communications. There are described in the paper: the definition of local communications, the reasons for public delivering, the historical development, the state-of-the-art, the expenditures of maintenance of local communications, the forms of delivering and the methods of selecting the external supplier. In the conclusion is description of important issues and key recommendations for improving the effectiveness of maintenance of local communications.
