- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim of the course is to introduce students to the issues of air transport technology and air traffic control. Students get acquainted with the international legislation and administration of air traffic, with the whole air transport process, with basic air transport system technological elements and technology, with the importance of air transport in common and the basics of air transport organization.
- Learning outcomes
- Students when completing the course are able to understand the problems of air transport technology and air traffic control, they are able to characterize specific patterns of air transport, they can determine the appropriate air fares and understand the problematics of the airlines.

- 1. Importance of air transport and transport 2. History of air transport 3. National and international aviation law and regulations. State administration and state administration bodies 4. Air transport organizations (ICAO, IATA, ECAC, EUROCONTROL, EASA, JAA, CANSO, ACI, FARE, IFATCA, IFALPA, EUROCAE and other important transport organizations) 5. Division of aircraft and basics of flight physics 6. Basic requirements for aircraft construction - aircraft components and systems 7. Aircraft propulsion systems 8. Commercial and operational airline models. Air transport performance 9. Air transport process (passenger and freight transport) - system partial transport processes 10. Methods of air transport capacity determination (Transport capacity, commercial capacity, fleet capacity) 11. Tariffs in air transport 12. Organization and management of air transport in terms of system concept. Air transport infrastructure 13. Technology of cargo air transport. Air containers and pallets

- For seminary work student can receive a maximum of 20 points, within the mid-term test student can receive max. of 10 points and needs to meet at least 60%. Instructions for seminary work determined at the beginning of the semester by the teacher.
A written examination may receive a maximum of 70 points. Total score represents the sum of points for the seminary work and written examination.
Grading Scale:
A 100 – 90, B 89,99 – 84, C 83,99 – 77, D 76,99 – 73, E 72,99 – 70, FX 69,99 – 30, F 29,99 - 0.
The course includes seminars and workshops at the airport in the České Budejovice.

- Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except of the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subjet in a semester.
