Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The student will learn to analyze mechanisms with constant and variable transmission and use methods for solving the kinematics of planetary differentials and transmissions, and last but not least, the student will learn analytical and graphical methods and numerical methods with computer support.
Learning outcomes
By completing the course the student will master the solution of problems of point kinematics, mathematical modeling of position, velocity and acceleration of a body performing sliding, rotational, spherical, general planar and general spatial motion.
Syllabus
  • 1. The role of kinematics, basic concepts 2. Point movement 3. Sliding and rotational movement of the body 4. General planar motion of a body 5. Spherical motion of a body 6. General spatial motion of a body, helical motion of a body 7. Kinematics of simultaneous movements of points and bodies 8. Composition of mechanisms 9. Analytical kinematic investigation of mechanisms 10. Graphic kinematic investigation of mechanisms 11. Mechanisms with permanent transmission, mechanisms with gears 12. Basics of synthesis of mechanisms 13. Computer support for solving kinematics problems
