- The course learning objective is to achieve language skills in accordance with B1- level descriptor of The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Having successfully completed the course, students can read short texts, make notes and create a simple personal email or letter. Furthermore, they are able to provide basic information and require it as well, fill in a questionnaire, talk about their plans and tell or write a short story. - Learning outcomes
- After successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
understand a simple text containing information about everyday life of people;
understand the most important information in relatively short messages, notices and/or announcements
arrange meetings and planned activities with other people;
describe the basic aspects of their everyday life or life of other people;

Final Test = 70 % (0 – 70 points) and Semester exam = 30% (0-30). The Final test requires knowledge according to B1- level descriptor of The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. To successfully pass the course, students have to get at least 70 points in total.

- Teacher's information
- Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of the Institute (Attendance record of students at VŠTE). It is required for full-time students to have at least 70% attendance of the course.
Students are required to take the Semester exam no later than before the end of the semester as instructed by their respective teacher, Final test is taken during the exam period in a paper or electronic form using computers.
Students with an individual study plan (ISP) must notify their respective seminar group teacher of this fact no later than the second week of the semester. Students with ISPs must complete the Semester exam and the Final test. The Semester exam will take place on a date agreed with their respective teacher. The date must be agreed with the teacher no later than two weeks before the end of the semester. The course guarantor may be contacted in case of any quesries.
