- REGISTRATION FOR PROFESSIONAL INTERNSHIP (1) Students are required to familiarize themselves with the internal regulation governing the completion of the professional internship. (2) Registration for the internship is permitted no earlier than the third semester of study. (3) Students formally register for the internship by enrolling in the administrative course “Internship Administration” (code: APX) for the given semester. This enrolment automatically confirms the student's intention to undertake the internship in accordance with the requirements of their study programme. Enrolment in the course APX is considered an official confirmation of the start of the internship and serves as the starting point for all further administrative and organizational procedures. Course registration takes place during the designated enrolment period as defined by the current academic calendar. The registration procedure is the same as for standard courses, i.e., via the Student section → Course Registration → Add courses by template or by entering the course code. (4) The deadlines for registering for courses are set according to the current academic year schedule. FULL-TIME STUDY – PROCEDURE (1) Information about the assigned company is available to the student in the “Internship” application within the IS. Assignment to a specific company is considered a final and binding confirmation of the internship placement. (2) Students in the follow-up Master’s full-time programme Business Economics and Business Administration complete the first 4 weeks of the internship in a company assigned by the Department of Professional Cooperation. The remaining 2 weeks are carried out at a specialized workplace of VŠTE, where students have the opportunity to complete any missing learning outcomes, under the conditions specified in the course syllabus Professional Internship / Internship. (3) The first 4 weeks are carried out in accordance with the applicable regulation (students keep a diary, fulfil occupational health and safety (OHS) obligations, and prepare other documents as specified by the regulation). (4) In the remaining 2 weeks (i.e. weeks 4.5 and 6.5), students are required to deepen or supplement missing learning outcomes using the digital learning materials available in the course section titled “Digital Learning Materials.” (5) After completing the internship and submitting all required documents as set out in the regulation, students are required to write a final report declaring that all learning outcomes (according to the specified areas) have been met. The procedure for submission of the final report is defined by an internal regulation. (6) If the internship supervisor evaluates the final report as insufficient, the student will be required to prepare a case study on a relevant topic, which must be defended before a committee within the specified deadline. PART-TIME STUDY – PROCEDURE (1) Students in the part-time (combined) follow-up Master’s programmes are allowed to complete the Professional Internship course within their current or previous employment or entrepreneurial activity. This option is available only if the nature of the work corresponds to the required learning outcomes and meets the scope defined by the respective study programme. (2) A student applying for recognition of prior work experience must submit a request via the IS system in the following structure: Office → Submit New Request → Study Department, CŽV, U3V – Confirmation of Internship Based on Previous Work Experience. (3) The course supervisor will assess the submitted request within the IS. The deadlines for submitting applications are set according to the current academic year schedule. (4) In the case of a positive decision, the student is required to submit all documents necessary for the completion of the internship as specified in the regulation. (5) In the case of a negative decision, the student is required to complete the missing learning outcomes using the digital learning materials available in the course section titled “Digital Learning Materials.” (6) After completing the internship and submitting all required documents as set out in the regulation, students must write a final report declaring the fulfilment of all learning outcomes (according to the specified areas). The procedure for submitting the final report is defined by an internal regulation. (7) If the internship supervisor evaluates the final report as insufficient, the student will be required to prepare a case study on a relevant topic, which must be defended before a committee within the specified deadline. INTERNSHIP COMPLETION (1) Upon completion of the internship and fulfilment of all formal requirements, students compile the prescribed materials, evaluate the achievement of learning outcomes, and are required to submit all required documents in the “Internship” application in IS no later than 15 working days after the end of the internship, in accordance with internal regulations. (2) Students must successfully complete the Professional Internship / Internship course within two consecutive semesters following enrolment. This period represents the maximum time allowed for completing the internship.
