- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquire specialized knowledge in the field of thermal insulation, waterproofing and radon insulation. Graduate of the subject knows the thermal and technical properties of individual insulation including their methods of measurement and testing. He knows the basics of designing these insulation in individual parts of building structures.

- Student is be able to Identify and compare individual types of insulation. Student can design a suitable type of insulation for individual parts of the building structure.

- 1. Insulation in the building industry. Types and divisions. Introduction to waterproofing. Waterproofing Waterproofing - Types, Production, Properties, Uses, Applications .. 2. Waterproofing of bitumen sheets - types, production, properties, applications, applications. 3. Waterproofing of plastic and rubber belts and foils - types, production, properties, applications, applications. 4. Water-based concrete. Waterproof concrete structures. (the so-called white bath) 5. Crystallization materials - types, production, properties, applications, applications. 6. Coating waterproofing of expanding materials. Waterproof concrete structures with bentonite. (so-called brown bath) 7. Water-impermeable concrete structures with a co-acting waterproofing layer on the basis of coating insulation integrally bonded to concrete. (Preprufe) 8. Introduction to thermal insulation. Polystyrene foam (EPS) - types, production, properties, uses, applications. 9. Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) - - Types, Production, Properties, Uses, Applications. Foam Polyurethanes (PUR, PIR) - Types, Production, Properties, Uses, Applications. 10. Mineral wool insulation. (MV) - types, production, properties, uses, applications. 11. - Preparation of a semester project on selected topic, see. Annex No. 1 to IS. Selection of assignments in the first lesson. Conditions for completion of the seminar for the following classification of the subject: - The term of the seminar work is in the seminar in 11th. (12). week of instruction (depending on the group, see instructions in the tutorial). The submission in electronic form is handed in to the IS in the 13th week of the lesson. - When checking the content of the seminar paper, the similarity with other documents may be up to 50%. (check egg egg) otherwise work will not be evaluated and will be considered a plagiarism. Additional instructions in the Organizing Instructions folder in ~ IS.

- Form of semester work: - Citation of text and pictures according to ČSN ISO 690: 2011. - The work will be tied up in a fixed relationship with the prescribed title page, see. Annex 2, IS. - Scope of work min. 16,000 characters including spaces (about 10 pages without pictures) - Work is not returned after correction and correction. Continuous rating: Seminar work 24%, Examination during semester - active consultation (3 x 2) 6%. Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except of the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subjet in a semester.
