The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The target of the course is to convey the basic skills necessary for the standard communication in the studied language. The course consists of 5 modules, which head towards the fixed output of level A2 in the Common European Framework of Reference. These modules lead to the continuous enrichment of the professional training component corresponding to the level within the range of the set topics. Module 3: The aim of the course is an introduction and gradual development of communication skills. The course is enhanced by the professional training component corresponding to the level in the range set topics. The Student is prepared to gradually achieve the level of A1 (and reach the level of A2 later) by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Test – final 70 %

Exam conditions
The written final test is evaluated within the scope of 0 - 70 points and comprises of 35 questions (2 points for each correct answer). To pass, the student must earn a 70% or higher (i.e. 49 points at least). The grading scale for the final test is as follows: 70 - 49 points = pass mark, 48 - 21 points = failed with possibility to repeat the test, 20 - 0 points = failed without possibility to repeat the test (i.e bellow 30%). The students can earn up to 30 points in the oral presentation. The maximum number of points the students can earn from both the written test and the presentation is 100. To obtain credit, the student must earn a minimum of 70 points (total of test and oral presentation points).
