- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim of the subject is to acquire knowledge and experience in the field of preparation, elaboration, presentation and defence of students´ work. Graduate of the subject: - is able to define the aim and hypothesis of work and elaborate methodology to its completion - is able to obtain information from information sources in accordance with quotation normative and to analyse it in accordance with stated aims of the work - is able to do synthesis of acquired knowledge and formulate conclusions including suggestion and recommendation - is able to elaborate a presentation, masters the basis of verbal discourse, is able to defend his/her results in front of student audience - applies his/her knowledge of formal layout in the seminar work

- This subject’s grade consists of successfully completing a running test (30 %), and the writing and presenting of a seminar paper (70 %).
If the student completes the test (theoretical basics) he/she gains 30 points. The test can be accessed online between the 7th and the 13th week of the semester on the IS platform, there is no limited number of attempts. The marks are: passed (at least 90 % correctly), and not passed (less than 90 % correctly). If the student passes the test, he/she gains 30 points to the overall grade.
The maximum of points gained for the seminar paper is therefore 70. The seminar paper has to involve a topic from the subject Business management 1. These topics will be given to the students during the lectures of Business management 1. The seminar paper shall be composed under the methodological rules of the lecture’s professor. The presenting and defending of the seminar paper will happen in the final weeks of the seminar. Overall classification of the seminar, meaning points for the seminar paper and it’s presentation (max. 70 points) + points for the running test (30 or 0): A 100 – 98 B 97,99 – 91 C 90,99 – 80 D 79,99 – 73 E 72,99 – 70 F 69,99 – 0.
