Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
Students will acquire pedagogical and managerial competencies, acquire knowledge and skills focused on the activities and management of schools, the creation of educational programs, human resource management at school, professional development of employees. Based on the acquired knowledge and skills, they will be able to suggest ways to increase the quality of school and teaching.
Learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the course, students
- knows schools, school facilities, school system;
- understands school functions;
- knows the policy and legislation of vocational education;
- knows school management models;
- knows the competencies of managers - teachers;
- can explain what constitutes the quality of the school;
- knows the state and school educational program.
Syllabus
  • Syllabus of direct teaching
  • 1. School management. Schools, school facilities, school system.
  • 2. School functions (functions in organizing the teaching process, personnel, qualification, acculturation, differential and selective functions, social functions).
  • 3. School quality management (concept of quality, TQM - Comprehensive quality management in education). Evaluation of school activities.
  • 4. Vocational education policy and legislation. Human resource management at school. Professional development of employees.
  • 5. Culture and school climate (elements of school culture, research of culture, the relationship between culture and school climate). School marketing.
