- The aim of the course is to acquire professional theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of didactics of professional economic subjects, preparation for teaching and didactic processing of specified topics.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the course, student
- is acquire implementation, diagnostic, reflective pedagogical competencies;
- is able to define specific goals for specific topics, select the basic and extended curriculum, create the structure of the curriculum, develop a thematic plan of the selected subject on the basis of knowledge of basic didactic principles;
- can select the optimal intangible and material teaching aids and assess the appropriateness of the selection in relation to the specific situation;
- can prepare a sample preparation for a lesson;
- is able to suggest ways to increase the quality of teaching. - Syllabus
- Syllabus of direct teaching
- 1. Didactics of economic subjects (characteristics of the term, origin and development of didactics, subject of research and relation of didactics of economic subjects to other scientific disciplines).
- 2. Definition of objectives. General and specific objectives. The importance and position of goals in teaching. Organization of learning objectives, definition of objectives, definition of specific objectives, requirements.
- 3. Basic pedagogical documents.
- 4. Curriculum of economic subjects. Didactic transformation, basic, expanding and basic curriculum, basic curriculum structure. Didactic analysis of the curriculum of the chosen topic.
- 5. Organization of economic subjects. Modular arrangement of the curriculum. Curriculum types. Standards.
- 6. Personality of a teacher of economic subjects. Qualification requirements, professional and pedagogical competence of a teacher of economic subjects.
- 7. Planning and preparation of the teacher's work. Thematic lesson plan.
- 8. Learning styles. Characteristics of learning styles, diagnostics of learning styles and their influence on improving the quality of learning and teaching.
- 9. Teaching method, classification of teaching methods, justification of the choice of teaching methods depending on the objectives and content of the curriculum.
- 10. Organizational form of the teaching process, division of organizational forms.
- 11. Current concepts of the teaching process: problem-based teaching, project teaching, cooperative teaching, theory of stage creation of intellectual operations, theory of algorithms, system of perfect mastery of the curriculum (mastery learning), distance education, etc.
- 12. Didactic principles and their application in the teaching process.
- 13. Teaching aids and didactic technique in the teaching process.
- 14. Control and evaluation of pupils' performance (definition, evaluation functions, methods and forms of control, shortcomings of examination and evaluation of pupils, didactic tests).
- 15. Didactic elaboration of the selected topic of the teaching unit of the selected economic subject (motivation, teaching goal, basic concepts, methodical analysis of the selected topic of the teaching unit).
