- To deepen the students' expertise in the issues of quality system management and control of business processes. During the seminars students will learn classical and modern methods and procedures of quality management by practical examples. The course will deepen students' interdisciplinary knowledge, on the basis of which they will be able to analyze, evaluate, propose and apply appropriate solutions and measures that will lead to the improvement of the quality management system.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the course, the student will: 1. understands the theory and principles of creating an enterprise quality system, 2. knows how to analyze business processes in terms of their quality parameters, 3. learns the basic standards applicable in the field of quality both in production and services, 4. know the quality deviations that indicate a disturbance in the quality processes of the enterprise, 5. understands quality control mechanisms and can propose corrective measures.
- Syllabus
- Lectures: 1. Introduction to quality issues, definition of basic terms and concepts of quality management. Basic principles of modern quality management. 2. 2. ISO 9000 series standards, basic requirements of ČSN EN 9001 and 9004, purpose and use of standards in practice. 3. ISO 14001. Environmental management systems. 4. Product liability and national quality policy. Reverse logistics and the concept of zerowaste 5. Integrated quality management system (IQMS). Environmental approach in (IQMS). 6. Human factor in quality management. 7. Pre-manufacturing stage of quality management, quality planning, quality planning methods. 8. Ensuring quality purchasing, implementation of green purchasing strategies. 9. Quality in the production process - verification of conformity of the final product in production, quality controls, maintenance and material handling, management of non-conforming products, preventive and corrective measures. Green production 10. After-sales stage of quality management, quality assurance to customers. 11. Quality economics. 12. Improvement of the quality management system. Sustainable quality management 13. Review of the quality management system, types of audits, self-assessment and review of the system. Seminars: 1. Basic concepts of statistics in quality management. 2. Basic tools of quality management - control charts, histogram, Pareto diagram. 3. Ishikawa diagram, flow chart, point diagram. 4. Statistical Process Control (SPC method). 5. Quality planning methods, quality house. Addressing customer environmental requirements 6. Risk analysis - FMEA method. Environmental risks and their evaluation 7. EFQM and CAF models. Evaluating the environmental performance of an organisation using the EFQM model 8. Analysis of the measurement system. 9. Seven new quality management tools, affinity diagram. 10. Interrelationship diagram. . System diagram, matrix diagram. 11. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). 12. PDPC diagram. 13. - For successful completion of the course it is necessary to achieve a minimum of 70% in the interim and final assessment under the conditions set out below. 30 points can be obtained in the intermediate assessment, i.e. 30%. A total of 70 points, i.e. 70 %, may be obtained in the final assessment. The overall classification of the course, i.e. points for the final assessment (70 - 0) + points from the interim assessment (30 - 0): A 100 - 90, B 89.99 - 84, C 83.99 - 77, D 76.99 - 73, E 72.99 - 70, FX 69.99 - 30, F 29.99 - 0. A full-time student is required to meet the mandatory 70% attendance in contact classes, i.e. everything except lectures.
