- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim of the course is to extend the student's knowledge of the subject to a level equivalent to B1 according to the Common Frame of Reference.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to understand the main ideas expressed in in written language on common topics encountered at work, school, leisure, etc. Understands the meaning of many radio and television programs that relate to current events or topics related to his or her areas of of personal or professional interest, provided they are spoken relatively slowly and clearly. Can understand texts which contain verbal vocabulary frequently used in everyday life or which are related to his/her work. Can understand descriptions of events, feelings and wishes in a personal letter. Can cope with most situations that may arise when travelling in the area where this language is spoken. Can engage in conversation without preparation on topics that are familiar, interesting or relevant to them. everyday life (e.g. family, hobbies, work, travel and current affairs). Can use simple language to combine phrases to describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and goals. Can justify and explain their views in a concise way and plans. Can tell a story or outline the content of a book or film and describe their reactions. Can write simple coherent coherent texts on topics that they know well or that are of personal interest to them. Can write personal letters describing experiences and impressions.

Průběžné hodnocení (in Czech) 30 % - Exam conditions
- To successfully complete the course, it is necessary to achieve the sum of the continuous and final assessment of at least 70% under the conditions set out below. V~30 points can be obtained in the continuous assessment, i.e. 30%. In the final assessment, it is possible to a total of 70 points, i.e. 70 %. Intermediate evaluation Presentation/oral examination - 30 points (i.e. 30 %) Final evaluation Final test - 70 points (i.e. 70%) A full-time student is required to attend contact classes, i.e. everything except lectures, to meet the mandatory 70% attendance.

- A full-time student is obliged to attend contact classes, i.e. everything except lectures, meet the mandatory 70% attendance. A grade of "-" will be given for failure to meet the participation requirement. Students with approved ISP are obliged to inform the guarantor no later than during the second week of semester. The conditions are the same as in the case of regular study (except for compulsory attendance).
