Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic destructive and non-destructive testing methods, thermodiagnostics and methods of acoustic measurements. They will be acquainted with the basics of quality management in building production, reliability and durability of structures and related legislation. The graduate will be able to select and apply the optimal test method for the design and to become familiar with the building standards related to diagnostics and testing.
Learning outcomes
The student is able to design specific diagnostic methods for the given building and evaluate the measurement. He is acquainted with the basics of metrology and is interested in the issue of quality management in the building industry.

Exam conditions
The semester project consists of a seminar paper and a presentation in ppt. The topic of the seminar work is selected by the student in the Schedule of topics in IS. The seminar work will be prepared in the range of about 20 pages according to the assignment in the section organizational instructions (Evaluation methods and their ratio) and the requirements of VSTE. It is recommended in the first half to describe the theoretically used methods and procedures, in the second half to briefly describe your chosen building object and to suggest its specific diagnostics. Deadline for submission: See instructions in ~ IS. Overall classification of the subject: A 100 - 90, B 89.99 - 84, C 83.99 - 77, D 76.99 - 73, E 72.99 - 70, FX 69.99 - 30, F 29.99 - 0

Teacher's information
The scope of the seminar work is 24,000 characters, including spaces without tables and figures (approx. 15 pages of text), citation of text and figures according to ČSN ISO 690: 2011. Presentation corresponding to the lecture for 15 min. Maximum match with another document up to 50%. If exceeded = plagiarism = work will not be evaluated. The semester project is not returned for repair. Attendance at classes in all forms is governed by a separate internal standard of VŠTE (Records of student attendance at VŠTE). For full-time students, 70% attendance is required for contact classes, ie everything except lectures.
The course is also listed under the following terms summer 2022, SUMMER 2023, summer 2024.
