Prerequisites
Moderately advanced knowledge of logistics and management is the prerequisite for enrollment of the course.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the knowledge and skills necessary to acquiring the knowledge needed to solve problems in relation with the application of logistics systems. Within the course, the knowledge needed to understand the fundamentals of the theory of constraints, process engineering, management and planning of production processes and other logically connected areas such as marketing, inventory management, distribution, financial and information systems, etc. are discussed.
Learning outcomes
After the graduation of the course, thr student will be able to:
- to be oriented within the fundamental principles and techniques of the theory of constraints;
- to practically use the theory of constraints within the measuring the performance;
- to understand the principles of selected modern methods used to manage operations (processes), extend knowledge to evaluate and solve standard situations and problems that are part of corporate, distribution, production processes or project management;
- to acquire the ability to identify real logistics problems.
