The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to gain knowledge and habits of the professional scientific work. After the passing of the course, students should be able to manage the technical acpects of the professional texts - the structure of the tests, collection of data,evaluation of data and their presentation in the professional text as such. Next, the chosen professional problems will be solved and casuistries in the concrete companies. The presentation of the results is also expected.
Learning outcomes
After successfully completing the subject, the student will be able to:
describe the issues connected to the thesis topic,
defend the theoretical fundaments and create conclusions of the thesis,
apply advanced scientific methods,
evaluate and process experimental research,
conduct scientific projects.

can carry out the suggested tasks and framework of a Bachelor’s thesis
can formulate research questions, hypotheses, look for methods and apply them
can collect data and ready it for analysis and evaluation

  • 1.Choice of the professional text (an essay), structure of the text.
  • 2.Work with literature.
  • 3.Collection of data, the methods of assessment.
  • 4.Formal emendation of the texts.
  • 5.Processing of the professional text (5th-7th seminar).
  • 6.Processing of the professional text
  • 7.Presentation - formal rules of the presentation.
  • 8 th - 13th seminar - Presentation of the student´s work results

Grading of the course: Seminar Work: maximum 70% (0-70 points) Presentation: maximum 30% (0-30 points) Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points.

Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of attendance of students at ITB). It is compulsory, except of the lectures, for full-time students to attend 70 % lesson of the subjet in a semester.
