Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the subject Technical measurement is to familiarize students with the implementation of the most common tests in engineering, and testing the properties of materials and finished products. An integral part of the course are the measurement of physical quantities, assessment of macro structures, testing the technological properties of materials, metallography, ergonomic measurements, comprehensive measurement equipment testing of operating materials, issues of safety, statistical data processing and basic principles of management and quality certification of products. Practical exercises lead students to the application of knowledge and of other study subjects (eg. Material Science I, II), and teaches them to assess compliance with the specified design requirements or physical parameters and get a better idea of the meaning and significance of these data. The course enables students to understand that technical measurements are an indispensable tool in the development, design, construction, production, technical control and use their own products.
