Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The course objective is to deepen student´s language knowledge to the level B2- of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. After the successful completion of the course, students are able to: understand extended speech and follow even complex arguments, understand articles dealing with contemporary problems, present a detailed descriptions on a wide range of subjects and interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity, write clear, detailed texts on a wide range of subjects.
Learning outcomes
He/She can understand extended speech provided the topic is reasonably familiar. He/She can understand in detail texts within his/her field of interest and the area of professional specialization. He/She can present clear detailed descriptions on a wide range of subjects related to his/her field of interests and study. Exam conditions
The assessment of daily and part-time students involves a continuous assessment (up to 30 points) during the semester and a final test (up to 70 points) in the examination period. To pass the exam, students have to achieve no less than 70 points together from both parts. Students are allowed for retaking the final test upon achieving no less than 30 points from the final test.

The lessons will take place in classrooms on the university premises. The attendance of daily students is compulsory and monitored under the relevant regulation governing the attendance. Part-time students have no obligation to be present at seminars. Students with approved Individual Study Plan (ISP) shall meet the deadline for the continuous assessment upon mutual agreement with the teacher. The students concerned shall inform the teacher about the approved ISP immediately after the approval. If the student fails to inform the teacher about the matter therein, his/her claims on the issue will be renounced. After successful completion of the course, the student is able to understand complex texts on both common and specific topics and is able to communicate spontaneously and naturally with native speakers without big efforts. The course objective is also to teach students to express both orally and in writing their opinions related to the current topics and give advantages and disadvantages of a possible solutions.
Learning outcomes
Student: - understands the main ideas of even complex texts; is able to get the most important points from the professional texts related to their fields of study - is able to express their opinions in writing, using complex sentences and advanced grammar structures corresponding to the descriptors of the B2- level according to CEFR - is able to participate actively and spontaneously in the communication with a native speaker without major efforts on neither side

Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The course objective is to deepen the language knowledge of the student to the B2- level according to CEFR for languages. After successful completion of the course, the student is able to understand complex texts on both common and specific topics and is able to communicate spontaneously and naturally with native speakers without big efforts. The course objective is also to teach students to express both orally and in writing their opinions related to the current topics and give advantages and disadvantages of a possible solutions.
Learning outcomes
Student: - understands the main ideas of even complex texts; is able to get the most important points from the professional texts related to their fields of study - is able to express their opinions in writing, using complex sentences and advanced grammar structures corresponding to the descriptors of the B2- level according to CEFR - is able to participate actively and spontaneously in the communication with a native speaker without major efforts on neither side

Exam conditions
Grading of the course both for part-time and full-time students: an exam during the semester, written test in the examination period. The final test requires B2- level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Successful graduates of the course have to get at least 70 points (from both parts together). The final test includes the questions within the range of the level B2- (not only based on the textbook).

Follow-Up Courses
Teacher's information
Students are required to actively participate in lessons and complete assigned tasks. ACJ_4z covers units 5-7 of the compulsory course book. Attendance in lessons is defined in a separate internal standard of ITB (Evidence of student attendance at ITB). Full-time students are obliged to attend 70 % of the lessons. In case the student did not comply with the requirements necessary to pass the test, he/she is entitled to take a second test in case he achieved at least 30 % of the requirements. Those who hold international certificates at least at B2 level and thouse who can prove having attended a similar course in terms of content, number of lessons and requirements can be considered as if they have completed the course if they apply officially.
