For the administration of professional practice, the VŠTE Information System uses an application called “Practice” (hereinafter referred to as the “Practice Application”). This application is available in the VŠTE Information System (hereinafter referred to as “IS”). Access to the practice application is provided to students in connection with the enrolment in the administrative course “Practice Administration” with the code “APX”. Course enrolment is generally governed by the currently valid academic year schedule.

Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
The aim of the apprenticeship is to consolidate and apply knowledge from professional subjects and to acquire practical habits and skills necessary for the performance of the chosen profession.
Learning outcomes
In order to successfully complete the Professional Practice course, the student is required to complete the following learning outcomes for the study areas of Business Finance, Financial Accounting, Marketing, Human Resources Management and Strategic Management.

- understands the principles and principles of strategic management and decision-making,
- understands the principles of strategic situational analysis,
- can apply basic methods for assessing the internal and external corporate environment,
- understands the importance of marketing research in the marketing decision making of a company,
- understands the tools of the marketing mix,
- analyses the basic tools of the marketing mix,
- applies marketing in selected areas,
- can plan, organize and evaluate corporate training, based on knowledge of the prerequisites for effective training,
- manages the recruitment and adaptation process,
- apply in practice appropriate and effective principles of managing and evaluating employee performance and the principles of motivation,
- manages the recruitment and adaptation process,
- applies in practice appropriate and effective principles of management and evaluation of employees' performance and principles of motivation,
- is able to control personnel costs and understands the indicators of personnel controlling,
- can navigate in basic accounting regulations (Accounting Act, Decree for Entrepreneurs, Czech Accounting Standards),

- umí zaznamenat hospodářské operace v účetních výkazech,
- umí sestavit rozvahu, výkaz zisku a ztráty včetně přílohy,
- can assess the economic situation of an enterprise from the data obtained in the accounting system,
- can construct and discount the general cash flows associated with the "life" of an asset,
- can work with formulas to calculate present and future values of standard cash flows (perpetuity, increasing perpetuity, annuity),
- explain why the largest net present value rule is better than other decision rules often used in practice,
- can define the nature of the various pitfalls to which an investor is exposed when using the internal rate of return rule,
- understands the financial nature of the firm's development projects and their impact on the value of the firm.

APPLYING FOR PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

(1) The student is obliged to familiarise himself/herself with the standard for the completion of professional practice.

(2) The earliest the student can apply for the placement is the fourth semester of study.

(3) The student is obliged to register for the professional practice by registering for the administrative course “Practice Administration” with the code “APX” for the semester in question, and this automatically confirms that he/she will start the professional practice in the semester in accordance with the requirements of his/her study programme. The enrolment of the course “APX” is considered as an official confirmation of the entry into the internship and serves as a starting point for further administrative and organisational steps. Course enrolment takes place during the course enrolment period on the dates defined by the current academic year schedule. The procedure for course registration is the same as for traditional course registration, i.e. in the Student - Registration and Course Registration - Add Courses section according to the template or by inserting a code.

PRESENTATION FORM - PROCEDURE

(1) Information about the assigned company is made available to the student in the IS Practice application. The assignment of the student to a specific enterprise is considered as a final and binding confirmation of the internship location. (2) Students of the Bachelor's degree of full-time study of the study programme Enterprise Economics will complete the Professional Practice / Internship for the first 11 weeks of the internship in the enterprise assigned to them by the Department of Professional Cooperation, the remaining 2 weeks will be guaranteed by a specialised workplace of the VŠTE, where the student will be allowed to complete the missing learning outcomes, according to the conditions set out in the syllabus of the course Professional Practice / Internship. (3) Completion of the first 11 weeks is governed according to the applicable standard (the student keeps a diary, OHS, other prescribed documents set by the standard)

(4) In the remaining two weeks (12th + 13th week), the student is required to deepen or complete missing required learning outcomes through digital learning materials available in the course materials under the title "Digital Learning Materials".

5) As evidence of completion of this part of the internship, the student is required to answer questions for the required headings in the "Answers" section.

(6) After completing the professional practice and providing all the required documents specified by the standard, the student is obliged to prepare a final report in which he declares the fulfillment of all learning outcomes (according to the above mentioned headings), the submission of the final thesis is addressed by the internal standard.

(7) In case the supervisor of the professional practice evaluates the final thesis as insufficient, the supervisor of the professional practice will be ordered to prepare a case study from the relevant heading, which, after its preparation, will be defended before the committee within the set deadline.

COMBINED FORM - PROCEDURE

(1) Students of the combined form of study in Bachelor's degree programmes are allowed to take the Professional Practice course as part of their current or existing employment or business activity. This option can be used only if the work performed corresponds in its nature to the required learning outcomes and at the same time meets the scope set by the relevant study programme.

(2) A student who applies for confirmation of work experience is obliged to submit an application via the IS, in the following structure Office → Submitting a new application → Study Department, CŽV, U3V - Confirmation of work experience based on previous work experience.

(3) The course supervisor comments on the submitted application in the IS.

(4) In case of a positive decision, the student is obliged to submit all the required documents for the completion of the internship stipulated by the standard.

(5) In case of a negative decision, the student is obliged to complete the missing learning outcomes through the digital learning materials available in the course materials under the title "Digital Learning Materials".

(6) As evidence of completion of this part of the internship, the student is required to answer questions for the required headings in the "Answers" section.

(7) After completing the professional practice and providing all the required documents specified by the standard, the student is obliged to prepare a final report in which he declares the fulfillment of all learning outcomes (according to the above mentioned headings), the submission of the final thesis is addressed by the internal standard.

(8) In case the supervisor of the professional practice evaluates the final thesis as insufficient, the supervisor of the professional practice will be ordered to prepare a case study from the relevant area, which, after its preparation, will be defended before the committee within the set deadline.

END OF PRACTICE

(1) After the completion of the internship and fulfillment of all formal requirements, the student completes the prescribed materials, evaluates the fulfillment of the required outcomes and is obliged to submit all prescribed documents to the IS Internship application within 15 working days of the completion of the internship according to internal standards.

(2) The student is required to successfully complete the Professional Practice / Internship course within two consecutive semesters from the date of enrolment, this period being the maximum time stipulated for completion of the Professional Practice. (3) Credit in the relevant Professional Practice / Internship course shall be awarded after the student has duly submitted all the required documents, successfully completed the defence of the completed internship and demonstrated the fulfilment of all the specified outcomes in accordance with the terms of the course.
