- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is to familiarize students with the problems of high pressure die casting technology. Students will acquire orientation in the technics and technology of pressure die casting, machines used in the HPDC, their design and construction of additional equipment. They are also acquainted with preparation of alloy for casting, evaluation of casting quality, casting errors and its prediction. They will acquire the basics of design and projection of pressure casting molds supported by the use of the CA system used in the foundry industry.
- Learning outcomes
- The student focuses on metal casting technology and technology under pressure. They can design appropriate technology for each type of casting. They can orient themselves in projection of inflow systems for permanent molds, mold design, casting machines and auxiliary equipment. Last but not least, it focuses on the defects of the castings as well as on the causes of their origins and their prediction.
