- KNM Kinematics
- Course Enrolment Limitations
- The course is offered to students of any study field.
- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- To acquaint the student with the methods of preparation and solving the equations of motion of particles, rigid bodies and their systems when solving kinetostatics and dynamics problems, and furthermore, the aim of this course is to acquaint the students with methods of vibrations analysis of discrete systems of bodies.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the subject, student is able to:
- to determine the elements of the inertia matrix in both the basic and transformed co-ordinate systems of the body
- to determine additional inertial force effects for individual types of motion of point, body and body system
- to compose the motion equations of the point, body, the body system by using D'Alembert's principle, especially for solving the problems of Kinetostatics
- to use methods of analytical mechanics when building motion equations for self-dynamics tasks, including mechanical vibration tasks
- to solve basic types of motion equations in closed form
- to use a method of physical discretization to build a mathematical model of oscillating linear torsional system
- to compose a mathematical model for solving the modal and spectral properties of the transverse oscillating one-dimensional linear continuum by using the Finite Element Method
- to compose a solution algorithm for the numerical solution of motion equations by using the own numbers problem - Syllabus
