- Course objectives supported by learning outcomes
- The aim of the course is for the student to understand the benefits of ethical management and socially responsible business for increasing the value of the company. Accordingly, he/she is able to apply the principles of CSR and ethical management to everyday business activities and processes on the basis of theoretical knowledge as well as knowledge of best practice and international reporting standards.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon successful completion of the course, the student:
- understands the principles of social responsibility in all areas of the company,
- can apply the principles of economic, social, environmental ethical and philanthropic responsibility in business processes,
- recognizes the benefits of ethical management and CSR and for increasing the value of the company,
- knows the best practices for the application of CSR and ethical management in business practice, including the methods of reporting and evaluating CSR,
- masters the principles of creation and implementation of the code of ethics and other tools of ethical management. - Syllabus

- 1. Relationship between ethics and economics, business ethics and its development.
- 2.Definition, principles and benefits of CSR.

- 4.Economic and social responsibility of companies.
- 5.Environmental, ethical and philanthropic corporate responsibility.

- 7. Basic tools of the ethical program of the organization.
- 8. A code of ethics in the organization.
- 9. Principles of creating and implementing a code of ethics in the organization.

Successful graduates of the course have to get totally at least 70 points under the following conditions: Mid-term grading: maximum 30% (0-30 points). Final grading: maximum 70% (0-70 points). Classification: A 100 – 90, B 89,99 – 84, C 83,99 – 77, D 76,99 – 73, E 72,99 – 70, FX 69,99 – 30, F 29,99 – 0.
The students of the full-time form of study are obliged to fulfill the 70% attendance at the lectures. If the attendance is not met, the students will be automatically classified with the grade "F".

Students with an individual study plan will take only a 100-point final test in the exam period. However, students are obliged to contact the teacher immediately after the approval of the individual study plan (ISP), if the student does not do so, his ISP will not be taken into account. (In case of any questions, the student can contact the subject guarantor via email: caha@mail.vstecb.cz). Students of combined and according to the instructions students of full-time form of study have to submit two tasks within the continuous evaluation (max. 30 points) to the section " Homework vaults in IS VŠTE". Assignments are available in the section "Study materials" Deadline is by 8.5.2022.
